Cyber security is one of the most important aspects on any new architecture and software. We are looking for you to join our team as a student working towards finishing the Master’s Degree with a thesis in cyber security.
The position is based at our office in Erlangen, Germany.

Your responsibilities

  • You will focus on attack trees as an inductive method for modeling security threats
  • The scope of the thesis is to identify the most prominent types of high-performance controllers (HPC) in future car architectures and create attack trees for them, with the goal of maximum re-usability
  • This includes the definition of typical configurations for these types and how they would alter the attack trees
  • Expected outcome is the development of a tool that generates attack trees based on customizing the identified HPC templates by adding/removing interfaces and typical functions

Your profile

  • You are a student pursuing a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or a related technical field
  • You have gained first experience in cyber security during your studies
  • You are eager to learn, self-driven and open minded, able to work independently and as part of a team
  • You are creative and have a structured way of working
  • You have good computer and programming skills
  • You have good communication skills in English
