Linux Build Engineer (m/f/d)

You have several years of experience within the automotive software industry. You like to further enlarge your experience and actively participate in the design of a new product line? Your talent is to dive deeply into tasks and problem statements and propose sustainable solutions? You would like to design software from day one and actively support EB corbos solutions for OEMs. Then, get started with us.

Your responsibilities:

  • You need to maintain the core infrastructure to build the EB Linux distribution. Specifically, but not limited to
    • Installers and images
    • Central package infrastructure
    • Continuous build environment
  • You participate in definition and planning of new features
  • You engage yourself in bug-fixing work across the full variety of the build platform
  • You are responsible for release and configuration management
  • You create and maintain an automated build and test environment
  • You support the EB kernel platform team in using the build infrastructure
  • You collaborate with upstream developers to make sure that the goals of quality are supported in upstream projects

Your profile:

  • You hold a University degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automotive engineering or similar
  • You have deep knowledge of programming language, especially embedded C, C++, Assembler (focus on ARM and Intel x86)
  • You have good experience in scripting languages used for test automation, e.g. Perl and Python
  • You know about build and automation servers
  • You are experienced in automated test environments
  • You are experienced in safety and security aspects
  • You have good knowledge about open source development tools and methodologies
  • You are experienced in open-source community principles
  • You have knowledge in embedded tools and development environments
  • You have an autonomous and self-reliant way of working
  • You are a good team player
  • You enjoy working in an international environment across different locations
  • You are willing to travel occasionally for personal meetings with various stakeholders
  • You have good skills in German and English language
