For the implementation of a development environment and the creation of a realistic virtual scenario with the simulation environment CARLA we are looking for support for the BMWK research project SEMULIN.
We are looking for people with technical and mathematical skills, e.g., in coordinate transformation or modelling of dynamic objects, as well as experience in 3D design, so that the visual events created in CARLA can also be transferred to HMI development.

Your responsibilities
- As a working student (m/f/d) you create and evaluate the low-fi scenarios in VR simulation environments.
- You coordinate the components with each other (HMI, scenery, eye-tracker, sensors and actuators etc.)
- It is part of your responsibility to develop and define coordinate systems and routes.
- You simulate journeys and possible intervention scenarios to the user.
- Additionally, you map the AOI (Area Of Interest) object lists with gaze behaviour.
Your profile
- You have completed a technical, scientific, mathematical or comparable bachelor’s degree.
- You have advanced knowledge of Linux, virtualisation methods, such as Docker, and M2M protocols, such as MQTT.
- You are very experienced in the programming language Python, and also have basic knowledge of KOTLIN and Matlab.
- You have profound theoretical knowledge in analytical geometry, primarily in coordinate transformation, as well as basic theoretical knowledge in physical dynamics, and image signal processing.
