Your responsibilities

  • You will validate autonomous driving components in the domain of hardware in the loop (HiL).
  • You will evaluate driving and environment simulation frameworks and do the integrate into a existing toolchain.
  • You will focus on low-latency feedback loops between the simulation framework on the HW/SW toolchain (EB Assist).
  • You will generate test scenarios with a virtual ECU in a closed loop HiL system.
  • You shape future automated driving software components by designing and developing software in C/C++, Python or other programming languages.
  • You help to improve the development methods and processes in a multi-cultural agile team of highly skilled software engineers.
  • You actively collaborate with teams from different departments, sites and companies in an international environment.
  • You will work very closely in a team.
  • You will develop a full software product and you can validate the full system (software and hardware) in the end.

Your profile

  • You are successfully studying one of the STEM (MINT) subjects.
  • You enjoy working with new technologies and acquire additional knowledge independently, even outside of your studies.
  • You have good to very good knowledge in one of the following areas:
    • Scripting or programming (e.g. Python or C/C++)
    • Operating systems
    • Network technology
    • Automotive software
  • You have a profound interest in the automotive industry.
  • You have a interest for autonomous driving systems / cars.
  • You can express yourself well in German and English (written and verbally).
  • A benefit would be:
    • You have a good overview of GPU and computer graphics.
    • You have first experience with real time data processing.
    • Ideally you have experience with 3D simulation, sensor modelling and computer vision.
