The Software Test Engineer will work as part of a global team to perform local test activities pertaining to software projects primarily in the areas of embedded control units.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without Elektrobit visa sponsorship.

Your responsibilities

  • Perform all necessary testing activities within assigned software projects.
  • Work with the test lead, project management, and engineering teams to identify and resolve issues.
  • Create and update test specifications, ensuring test cases are traceable to requirements.
  • Execute test cases across multiple platforms and builds.
  • Report and log issues into a bug tracking system, including track files and necessary steps to recreate.
  • Analyze issues and provided information about a possible resolution.
  • Work to ensure assigned testing tasks are completed on time.
  • Ensure status and communication reports are detailed, comprehensive and accurate.
  • Ability to understand software requirements and software architectures.
  • Work on implementation of specified test cases.
  • Support Elektrobit’s customers with professionalism
  • Willingness to travel for the needs of the customer

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 3-6 years’ experience developing test software and testing software applications, specifically Embedded Control Units.
  • Experienced with coding such as: C++, C#, Python, Windows and Unix shell scripts for development of testing tools, scripts, automation and simulation.
  • Detail oriented and ability to follow through on tasks.
  • Ability to work well in a global environment.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Worked in and trained in Agile processes
  • Proficiency in industry standard tools such as Jira, MS Office, GitHub, Jenkins….
  • Experienced in one or more of the following:
    • Matlab and Simulink
    • ISO-26262 Functional safety requirements
    • Classic and Adaptive Autosar
    • High Performance Computing (HPC)
    • Over the Air functionality (OTA)
