Software development for the automotive industry today is an exciting job. Software plays an increasingly significant role in cars, as well as in their value. When we create and build something previously unheard of, we get to take our skills in completely new directions.

The aim of our work
Here at Elektrobit we make our own software products for use in cars, as well as development projects directly for clients. We are working toward a world in which mobility causes zero fatalities, produces low emissions, and transforms your commute into quality time.
We have quite a reputation in the automotive industry. We were among the first software developers in the field and history shows that we got some things right. Still, we don’t spend our time looking nostalgically in the rear-view mirror, thinking about times gone by and ‘90s cars we’ve loved. We are determined to continue our success story onwards and upwards, helping to shape the future of the automotive software.

As an Architect you will have the possibility to work in world class and unique automotive software projects with the latest and most modern components of the embedded world in cooperation with leading companies in the automotive industry.

For example, do you like to see tangible results by being part of international team creating world class infotainment systems? Are you interested in defining architectures, as well as implementing new features in it? Or maybe you are interested in creating and maintaining software architecture for high-performance computing platforms in future cars?

What do we expect from you?
We hope you have solid practical work experience in software development. We appreciate know-how and expertise especially in embedded software development, so if you have worked with e.g. C, C++, Android, that's a good thing!

- your approach to work is solution-orientated and you have good communication skills. You can see the bigger picture, understand how things relate to each other, and tackle things with positive mindset, like we do.
- you know how to analyse and can make a start on something even before you have all the information available. You are able to present your own suggested solution, and when communicating you consider how your listener is seeing and hearing the thing in question. You enjoy working with others.
- you are able to work and communicate well in English as we work in an international company.
- you enjoy working in a safe and trust-based work community. Humour is allowed and encouraged, and we are not afraid to have opinions. Our days are full of positivity, and our mood is not even brought down by the bitter cold wind in Oulu or crispy frost in Rovaniemi.
