Then we’d love to hear from you! We are looking for a new (Senior) Software Architect (m/f/d) System Software.

The System Software team within Cockpit Systems consists of more than 20 highly skilled engineers and is responsible for the lower layer Software, from the boot loader up to the HAL.

What you do

As a Software architect (m/f/d) you take responsibility for creating concepts, feasibility studies, architectures, and designs for IVI systems in close cooperation with our customers and the SoC suppliers.
  • You analyze the customer inputs and requirements and translate them to Software architecture design.
  • Your activities include design and implementation, optimization and configuration of the OS, Hypervisor, and drivers.
  • You drive and conduct design and code reviews.
  • You support new program and change request estimations and quotation.
  • You will guide and coach other developers in the team.

What you bring

  • Essential Qualifications
    • You have hands-on experience in device bring-up and BSP integration on QNX and/or Android / Linux of different SoC suppliers.
    • You have experience in developing and debugging C/C++ software on Linux/QNX kernel modules.
    • A strong background in software design, documentation, and implementation is necessary,
    • You have several years of work experience with embedded systems, preferable in the automotive area.
  • Learnable skills
    • Experience with Functional Safety and ASIL is an advantage.
    • Deep knowledge of display and camera drivers is a plus.
    • Ability to read schematics and interpret device data sheets is also something that can be learned on the job.
  • Your profile is completed by fluent communication and writing skills in English. German is a plus.
