You have several years of experience within the automotive software industry. You like to further enlarge your experience and actively participate in the design of a new product line? Your talent is to dive deeply into tasks and problem statements and propose sustainable solutions? You would like to design software from day one and actively support EB corbos solutions for OEMs? Your responsibilities

  • You take responsibility of product safety for EB embedded Linux products
  • You will be working with our agile feature teams that develop sophisticated algorithms based on state-of-art methods
  • You are responsible for the safety of the platform software and thus for the complete product
  • You define strategies and methods to demonstrate the safety of the GNU/Linux OS in various automotive applications
  • You deeply understand the goals of safety standards (IEC 61508, ISO 26262) and want to bring this together with the GNU/Linux OS
  • You work closely with the feature teams to cover safety aspects of the features
  • You perform safety analysis on system level such as hazard and risk assessment (HARA), dependent failure analysis (DFA), common cause analysis (CCA), fault tree analysis (FTA), feature modes and effect analysis (FMEA) and develop safety concepts (both functional and technical) for fail operational systems
  • You are supporting in tailoring the functional safety life cycle to the project needs
  • You are consolidating partner input into safety case, certification data package and provide feedback to partner
  • You monitor the quality
  • You perform quality assessments and define necessary improvements

Your profile

  • You hold a University degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automotive engineering or similar
  • You have very deep understanding of Linux operating systems, security configuration and system hardening
  • You have several years of practical experience in working with Linux OSes
  • You gathered several years of practical experience in the software industry, especially with appropriate safety standards
  • You have profound knowledge in safety analysis methods
  • You have good knowledge in software safety and system safety verification
  • You have knowledge in safety engineering
  • You have good knowledge in embedded Linux development and Linux environment
  • You have knowledge of programming in low-level area (kernel, drivers, libraries)
  • You have an autonomous and self-reliant way of working
  • You have an outgoing, self-confident personality and team player capabilities
  • You enjoy working in an international environment across different locations
  • You are willing to travel occasionally for personal meetings with various stakeholders
  • You have very good skills in German and English language
