Software development for the automotive industry today is an exciting job. When we create and build something previously unheard of, we get to take our skills in completely new directions.

We are now looking for several Configuration Managers to join our team. You can work in Oulu or in our remote hub in Rovaniemi, which will be established during Spring 2022. 
These job opportunities are related to product areas of EB corbos Hypervisor and EB Zentur. There are possibilities for adjusting the role towards other process areas – e.g. scrum master, requirements or release management tasks – depending on your skillset and preferences.

Here at Elektrobit we make our own software products for use in cars, as well as development projects directly for clients. 

We have quite a reputation in the automotive industry. We were among the first software developers in the field and history shows that we got some things right. Still, we don’t spend our time looking nostalgically in the rear-view mirror, thinking about times gone by and ‘90s cars we’ve loved. We are determined to continue our success story onwards and upwards, helping to shape the future of the automotive software.

What could your workday look like?

In this position you get to work in our automotive software product development projects with professional teams. You have an essential role in ensuring a top-quality tracking and controlling for the contents of the product releases. 
 
In this role, you...
  • Adopt the SW Configuration Management process owner role in overall
    • Defining the process, ensuring its application within the project and observing potential process deviations
    • Updating and improving the process according to needs identified in daily work
    • Optionally contribute to the process development on global EB Automotive level
  • Contribute to ensuring Automotive SPICE compliancy in daily operations and participate to assessments
  • Interact closely with team members locally in Oulu and also remotely in Germany 
  • Participate to sharing the overall workload of the project team with tailorable focus depending on the personal skillset and preferences

We expect you to have...
  • Good overall understanding of basic SW development processes and interest towards Configuration Management topics.
  • Willingness to drive process adherence and improvements on practical level
  • Hands-on experience about software development, preferably from Embedded SW context
  • Familiarity with CI principles and related tooling (Git/GitHub, Jenkins)
  • Good intercultural and communication skills (in English)
  • We also appreciate familiarity with agile working practices
