Your responsibilities

  • As an Automotive Safety Manager (m/f/d) you lead safety-related projects according to ISO 26262 together with the Project Manager and execute the project according to ISO 26262.
  • You take care of all stakeholders involved in the project, including customers, suppliers, and service providers, related to safety-relevant activities.
  • You create, maintain, and refine all documents related to safety-relevant topics, e.g., safety plans, development interface agreements (DIA), safety concepts, etc.
  • You are also responsible for conducting safety analyses - e.g., FTA, HAZOP, FMEA, FMEDA - and support the development of suitable system-, software-, and hardware architectures.
  • You support the definition and improvement of processes, methods, and tools for functional safety.
  • During acquisition phases you look after the topic of functional safety (e.g., safety-relevant individual projects, or functional safety as part of larger projects).

Your profile

  • You hold a university or college degree in computer science, electrical engineering, communication technology or a comparable subject.
  • You have many years of experience in ISO 26262, ASPICE, and the development of embedded systems (on system, software, and hardware level).
  • You are experienced in the field of hardware development and are particularly familiar with part 5 of ISO 26262 (including the necessary safety analyses such as FMEDA).
  • You also have knowledge of development processes, quality, and project management.
  • You have experience with modern microcontrollers for embedded systems.
  • Your profile is completed by fluent communication skills in English and German, both written and verbally.
