Here at Elektrobit we develop software products for use in cars and development projects for clients. When we create and build something previously unheard of, we get to take our skills in completely new directions.

Would you be interested in growing your skill set in an international work environment and having an impact on the future of mobility? We are looking for Architect to join our Test Automation team. You can work in our Oulu office or in our remote hub in Rovaniemi.

Working with us, you won’t just have to put up with bad jokes and fantastic colleagues; we’ll take you with us on a journey into the world of the top automotive brands, accelerating you into a career in the fast-changing world of electric and autonomous vehicles

The aim of our work

We have quite a reputation in the automotive industry. We were among the first software developers in the field and history shows that we got some things right. Still, we don’t spend our time looking nostalgically in the rear-view mirror, thinking about times gone by and ‘90s cars we’ve loved. We are determined to continue our success story onwards and upwards, helping to shape the future of the automotive software.

We are working toward a world in which mobility causes zero fatalities, produces low emissions, and transforms your commute into quality time.

A few words about your position

  • As an Architect for Test Automation you determine test automation architectures and strategies.
  • You mentor and provide technical direction to the test automation teams. You support the project team with architectural concepts, estimates and technical discussions.
  • In addition, you lead the team of contributing engineers for the above mentioned tasks.
  • You will work with product management as well as engineering to develop end-to-end release processes and test plans that ensure the highest quality product.

What do we expect from you?

We are looking for someone who could strengthen our team with experience in embedded systems architecture and test tools, processes, approaches, and techniques. We hope you have experience in developing test automation scripts with object-oriented programming. Maybe you have worked also with communication protocols (ideally Ethernet, CAN, etc.)? We appreciate experience in agile project setups as we work according to SAFe principles.

For us it is also important that…
  • You want to learn new things and share your own knowledge and expertise. Perhaps you are interested specifically in software development for the car industry.
  • Your approach to work is solution-oriented and you have good communication skills. You can see the bigger picture, understand how things relate to each other, and tackle things with positive mindset, like we do.
  • You know how to analyze but you are able to proceed without having all the information available. You are able to tailor your communication depending on the audience and situation. You enjoy working with others.

What do we offer?

  • You will join a team with an excellent reputation in automotive software development. We receive fantastic feedback, and clients specifically seek co-operation with Finland site for challenging projects. If you want to learn new things, working with us is a great platform for you.
