Your responsibilities

  • As an Android Framework Software Developer (m/w/d), you will research, evaluate, and integrate new technologies, software libraries and frameworks in the Android ecosystem
  • You extend or modify the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) with implementations according to our customer’s needs
  • You build car related features like Heating, Ventilation, Climate Control (HVAC), drive modes, energy model, consumption, massage, etc.
  • You are responsible for the full stack from UI development, over middleware components like Car service down to the implementation of the VHAL in C++
  • You collaborate within a multi-disciplinary international team in an agile environment and plan your component with high- and low-level architectural design
  • You make sure you deliver high quality code by applying static code analysis, code reviews and write unit tests
  • Your changes will build and tested through our multistage continuous integration & testing tool chain
  • You become a trusted expert who can guide our customers to make the right choices

Your profile

  • You hold a university degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent
  • You are knowledgeable about Android application and framework development, HAL implementation and Android Automotive
  • You know how to produce stable code in Java and C++ and you are interested to widen your portfolio of programming languages to Kotlin, C++, Qt
  • Ideally you have been in contact with Android framework development for embedded systems already and maybe you worked as Android application developer and want to understand how the Android system itself works
  • You solve problems with your positive can-do attitude
  • You are a team player solving issues together in an intercultural environment
  • Your profile is completed by fluent communication skills in English and German is a plus
